The German Society for Horticultural Science (Inc.) consists of all horticultural science disciplines which are represented in the Sections Education and Consultancy, Nursery, Landscape, Vegetable Production, Fruit Production, Economy, Phytomedicine, Technique and Ornamentals. The Sections are also working within smaller Working Groups, depending on specific research topics.

The annual horticultural science convention

The prime activity of the The German Society for Horticultural Science (Inc.) is the organisation of the annual horticultural science convention at which more than 300 participants from Germany and the abroad register. The latest research results from all horticultural science disciplines are presented and discussed in Workshops in the form of oral talks or posters.

Students, PhD-candidates, and scientists make use of the opportunity during the convention to discuss interdisciplinary the new results with a qualified audience. Attending such conferences is not only imperative for gaining more knowledge and receiving feedback for future research projects but is also an excellent opportunity to interact and network with colleagues.
